| About the Community Change Centre |

The Public Establishment "Community Change Centre" (hereinafter referred to as CCC) was established in 2001 m. as a result of reorganization of a former charity and support fund the "Lithuanian and US Initiatives". The organization targets Lithuania‘s social and economic development by supporting various community initiatives. The major activities cover the following issue areas: strengthening grass-roots organizations and community advocacy work, promoting NGO and local community cooperation with local government and business sector. The following tools have been most preferred by the centre: expert research, methodology development, individual and group consultations, teaching and training, and networking. In March, 2007, the Ministry of Social Welfare and Labour certified the Community Change Centre as a Methodical Centre for Social Work. To date, the organization has issued over 300 certificates to social workers throughout the country. The organization‘s major partners are several Professional NGOs and a huge number of grass-roots organizations, Lithuanian Association of Chiefs of Neighbourhoods, and the Association of Municipalities. CCC has quite a few partners outside Lithuania as well (e.g., in Norway, Belarus, the US, and the Netherlands).
